Coburn Family of Vermont

Generation One:

Iccia Harden came to America from Ireland. He settled in Northern Vermont and used the name Thomas Coburn.

Children of Thomas Coburn and Rebecca (Unknown):

1.  Washington Coburn


Generation Two:

Washington Coburn was born 8 Aug 1815. He married Harriet Thompson who was born 24 Apr 1817. Washington was in Co F 12th Vt. Inf.  He died 22 Mar 1874. Harriet did 9 May 1901. Both are buried in Northfield Falls, Vermont.

2.  Charles Coburn
3.  Franklin Coburn
4.  Asa T. Coburn
5.  Regina Coburn

Generation Three:

Benjamin F. Coburn was born 8  Oct 1841. Married Lucinda Sulham the daughter of William Sulham Jr and  Mercy Woodard.  Lucinda was born 11 Apr 1844.  Benjamin died Aug 1921. Lucinda died in 1900.
Benjamin served in the Civil War:  Co. C, 1st Reg., Vt. Calv.

3.  Gertrude Mae Coburn
4.  Harriet A. Coburn
5.  George F. Coburn
6.  Leon E. Coburn
7.  Zoa I. Coburn

Generation Four:

Gertrude Mae Coburn was born in 1896. She married John James Simmons and they lived in Vermont. She died about 1921.

Children of Gertrude Mae Coburn and John James Simmons:

1. Johanna Elizabeth Simmons  born 22 July 1902 Montpelier, Vermont
2.  Cathrine Lucinda Simmons  born 24 Apr 1900  Montpelier, Vermont
3.  Charles Cortney Simmons
4.  Benjamin Coburn Simmons
